La marque horlogère suisse et le const ructeur de bateaux monégasque sont déjà partenaires depuis quelques années, Hublot étant le chronométreur officiel de la Classe Wally pendant ses régates. Aujourd’hui c’est à Saint -Tropez que les patrons des deux maisons présentent ensemble la montre créée dans l’esprit de leurs valeurs communes. Un chronographe constitué de matières innovantes, au design et aux couleurs qui rappellent les bateaux Wally .
Hublot porte un nom prédestiné dans le monde du yachting, et la marque a toujours trouvé une légitimité dans ses liens avec les bateaux et la mer, comme le montrent ses partenariats avec le Yacht Club de Monaco, avec le Real Club Nautico de Palma ou
encore avec Alinghi, Defender Suisse de la 33ème America’s Cup. L’amitié avec Wally est née d’une rencontre entre les patrons Luca Bassani et Jean-Claude Biver, deux hommes passionnés, amoureux de l’innovation, du design, de la technologie, de l’excellence et de la composition de matières inédites et inattendues. Respectueux du savoir-faire traditionnel, ils ont pourtant tous les deux le goût de fabriquer des objets de luxe au design avant-gardiste et audacieux, et portent le même soin au détail et à la finition.
Le modèle de Big Bang créé par Hublot pour Wally – une série limitée de 500 pièces – est un chronographe fait d’un alliage ultra-léger composé entre autres d’aluminium et de magnésium, avec un mouvement en titane et un bracelet en caoutchouc. Boîtier, lunette et cadran sont de la même teinte, et le logo WALLY se dessine sur le compteur de 9h, en noir pour rappeler les inserts latéraux, les index et le bracelet. Ce chronographe a été sélectionné dans la catégorie « montre de sport » du Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève 2009, dont le résultat sera connu dans quelques semaines.
La Big Bang Wally est présentée par Jean-Claude Biver et Luca Bassani lors des dernières régates de la saison qui se déroulent dans le Golfe de Saint-Tropez, où les bateaux Wally sont présents en grand nombre. Un rendez-vous qui réunit à coup sûr

The Swiss watchmaker and the Monaco-based yacht manufacturer have already been partners for several years: Hublot is the official time keeper of the Wally Class during their regattas. And now in Saint -Tropez , the heads of the two companies will stand side by side to present the watch created in honour of their shared values. A chronograph which incorporates innovative materials, with a design and colours evocative of Wally yachts.
Hublot’s name is well-known in the yachting world, and the brand has always found it natural to have links with yachts and the sea, as demonstrated by its partnerships with the Monaco Yacht Club and the Real Club Nautico in Palma, and with Alinghi, Swiss Defender of the 33rd America’s Cup. The friendship with Wally began with a meeting between the heads Luca Bassani and Jean-Claude Biver, two men with a passion for innovation, design, technology, excellence and the marriage of new and unexpected materials. Whilst both men have a respect for traditional expertise, they also have a desire to create luxury objects using avant-garde, daring designs, whilst paying the same attention to detail and finish.
The Big Bang model created by Hublot for Wally – a limited edition of 500 watches – is a chronograph made from an ultra-light alloy of aluminium and magnesium, amongst others, with a titanium movement and a rubber strap. The case, bezel and dial are all the same colour, and the WALLY logo sits on the counter at 9 o’clock, in black for continuity with the side inserts, the indices and the strap. This chronograph was selected in the “Sports watch” category of the prestigious Grand Prix de l’Horlogerie de Genève awards 2009, the results of which will be released in a few weeks.
The Big Bang Wally will be presented by Jean-Claude Biver and Luca Bassani during the last regattas of the season which are taking place in the Golfe de Saint-Tropez, where Wally yachts are present in great numbers. A meeting which succeeds in bringing together excellence and exclusivity.
