Romain Jerome Moon Invader For those who have already had the chance to handle the Moon Invader model of Romain Jerome, you have certainly noticed the presence of a silver disc representing a small moon on the case-back. This silver disc entitled “Silver Moon” has the particularity to contain some lunar dust.

This unique alloy was made by the specialized company Cendres + Métaux in Biel. Heating the iron and some lunar dusts at the fusion temperature of 961°c was required to produce this silver lunar disk. The house also emphasizes on the fact that the lunar dust is a certified sample.
From fusion a lingo is created, and is afterwards laminated in order to be cut in ring-shaped pieces.
A master-engraver designs on a convex surface the lunar landscape. This piece is then used to stamp the silver rings.
Finally the discs take their respective placement on the back of each Moon Invader.

Now, you just have to reach for the moon!
